Most of people think that it is very cold in Russia. That almost the whole year there is snow here, people drink vodka to get warm and stay at home most of the time...

Well, it's not like that.

First of all - Russia is the largest country in the world, so we have lot's of natural areas. All of them have different seasons durations and  it's own climate.

I took this photo in winter 2012 in my hometown. It was -30 outside.

My name is Maria or Masha (a short form). I am 23 years old, live in St. Petersburg, Russia.
